HOW DOES THE SERVICE WORK?
Our system calls you at your scheduled times. Press 1 if you're okay or 3 if you need help. If you request help or miss four contact attempts, our emergency notification procedures begin.

Complete our Contact form or call 276-832-1016. Our Sheriff Alert Team will help you enroll and set your calling schedule.
HOW MANY TIMES WILL THE SYSTEM CALL ME?
Choose 1–8 Care Calls daily. If unanswered, we'll try up to four times. Press 3 for help to immediately initiate emergency notification procedures.
WHAT WILL I HEAR WHEN I ANSWER MY PHONE?
Your caller ID will display “DCS.” A recorded message will ask you to press 1 if you're okay or press 3 if you need help.
WHAT IF I WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO ANSWER MY PHONE?
Use your special pause number to skip Care Calls for the day.
Calls automatically resume the next day. For longer changes, call 276-832-1016.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T ANSWER MY SCHEDULED CARE CALL?
After four unanswered attempts, emergency notification procedures begin. We also try your emergency contact and coordinate with local law enforcement for a welfare check when necessary.
WHAT IF I NEED ADDITIONAL INFORMATION OR HELP?
If you have an emergency, call 911. Otherwise, for assistance or information call or text the Sheriff Alert Team at 276-832-1016.
IS THE SERVICE AVAILABLE OUTSIDE PARTICIPATING COUNTIES?
Yes! Our service is available throughout the continental United States for $24.95/month. Eligible residents of participating counties receive Care Calls FREE.
DOES MY LOCAL SHERIFF'S OFFICE OPERATE THIS SERVICE?
No. Sheriff Alert Care Calls is independently owned and operated. We work with participating sheriff's offices and community sponsors to provide FREE Care Calls in eligible counties, while offering affordable service nationwide.
ARE THERE CONTRACTS OR CANCELLATION FEES?
No! Our $24.95 Care Call service is month-to-month, with no contracts, automatic renewals, or cancellation fees. Payment is due every 30 days, and service ends if payment isn't received by the due date. All payments are non-refundable.
